Week 14 Part 2

Hello Again!

So, as promised, here is the more detailed post for this week!

We didn't have a whole lot going on this week, just the usual stuff. My only excitement was my clutzy moment to go into the history books. I'm sure Maeve will get a good hearty laugh out of this (thus scaring anyone within a 1/2 mile radius). I was in Nordstroms getting a few essentials that needed replacing, and I was ready to head back down one floor to head out to the car. The moment I stepped onto the down escalator I realized I had left my car keys at the cashier desk. Thinking, "I'm just a second in on this escalator, I can totally turn around and make it no problem!" I turned and tried to make it back so I wouldn't have to ride it down and then ride the other one back up. I don't know how many of you have tried to go up the down escalator but those things are surprisingly fast, also sharp. The edge of each step is like a knife! Well needless to say my speedy steps and open-toed shoes were no match for the bladed moving stairs of death. My toe caught the edge and I tripped and fell.....and yes Maeve, people saw and no one helped....laugh it up. So I rode the escalator down while in pain and then realized there was a pool of blood in my flip-flop. The escalator had sliced right into several layers of skin/meat leaving a flap of bloody skin. Anyways, I rode the escalator back up, got the keys and went home in pain and ashamed of my unbelievable grace. So that's my big story for the week!

It's starting to get to that time where I'm planning for the return to Boston. Gotta order my new computer, figure out what I'm gonna do for my new phone (contract is up), tell the storage place I'm gonna be moving out, and plan living arrangements for the 2 or 3 nights I'll be homeless. It's all very exciting!

Now back to weight loss. I still can't believe I made it to 20lbs! I'm hoping it means this plateau I've been on is over for now. I did the silhouette thing as best I could. I realized I took the pictures from different angles as well. My before pictures were taken at a downward angle and my pictures I took this week were from an upward angle. It made a true comparison kinda tricky but I did my best. Just keep it in mind if you feel like they are a little funky. The other funky thing is that my before pics had hair down and the new ones my hair was up. Also I realized I think the actual picture of me now looks better than the silhouette but I wouldn't ever post pics of me in a bathing suite online so these are good enough. Ahh this is scary! Be nice!

Anyways, here ya go, and see ya next week!

Well you've lost several inches from your head, that may explain the fact that you thought you could get back up the escalator the wrong way...

justttt kidding. This is really impressive.
