Week 2
Hello all!
Well it's week two and I'm sorry to say that it's going to be a little bit of a let down. My laptop is at the mac store getting a part replaced so I can't put together a clever little iMovie with my quirky family. I even have a video of Stu cooking that is pretty funny so I'll put one together when I get my computer back and just add it to this post.
Also, I haven't weighed myself yet so I'll add that to the movie when I post that. I take my measurements and weigh myself on Fridays so I'll do it later tonight. My family is going camping this weekend...All 5 of us! Could be magical, could be a mess, we'll see haha. There's a total of 20 people going: all of them wonderful and funny so it'll be fun. And we certainly are not roughing it! We're bringing air mattresses and egg crates to make the weekend a little bit more comfortable. Anyways, that's a long way of saying; that's why I'm posting this Thursday without all my stats and not Friday!
As far as my new healthy lifestyle goes I'm doing pretty well. I went to the gym Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday and have every intention of going today. I realized yesterday when doing my leg workouts that my legs haven't exactly repaired from my personal trainer session from last week. Every squat was torture! but it was good to get what leg work I got in.
My eating habits have gotten a lot better. I haven't had sweets in a long time, no sodas. All healthy eating and I added the "mini-meals" in between my big meals to keep that metabolism going. The only meal I'm having trouble with is dinner. Especially when I have to cook because I'm having trouble finding easy healthy meals. Last night I made a hamburger-noodle-sour cream casserole which is delicious, but not terribly good for you. I did add a salad, but still. So if any of you have some quick and easy healthy recipes good for 3 people lemme know! Stu had suggested we designate 2 days a week to make vegetarian. I think it's a super idea so we'll try for that.
Anyways sorry about the lack of real information and movie. To make up for it I'll leave you with a video of this CRAZY girl my mom and brother found. It's a little bit scary to think she's actually serious. go to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWt2YJCJleY
Will update with a video when I get my laptop back!

Hey!
Well i think healthy foods are simple ones. But if you get good produce (and i can only imagine the warmer parts of the USA would get better produce then cold old boston) you can do almost anything!
One of my favorite meals (number 1, is a magical sandwich i had made for me once ;-) is stirfry. You can get much healthier than something like
2 onion, 2 peppers (different colors are fun), mushrooms (portabella), spinach, Mung Beans, Water chestnuts, garlic, etc with a chicken breast each. Cook up the veggies maybe add some balasamic vinegar, and that is a tasty dinner over rice! You pretty much can't go wrong!
Veggies and more veggies and a couple fruits... btu mostly veggies! healthy and low calories, all good calories! and nuts.
another good move is to stick all the same things in the oven and let them cook that way and then throw some fish on top of it and let it finish cooking!
That is just my suggestion.
Thanks! those are some super suggestions!
